OMG Career is intentionally a provocative name.
I want it to resonate with anyone that has ever stared blankly at the ceiling, feeling lost, not knowing what they could possibly do in the world.
I vividly recall being 20 years old and having a moment like that. I wasn’t inspired with what I was studying in college, I didn’t know what I could do when I graduated, I didn’t feel like I had a clear path, and I didn’t know how to go about beginning to solve those problems.
I’ve heard similar things from so many others. They didn’t know what they wanted to do, they did’t know what there were good at, and they didn’t know where to start. This presents a huge opportunity to help others learn about themselves, to try to new things, to explore careers they’ve never heard of, and to understand that life will throw numerous challenges at you that you can get through.
OMG Career will serve to help young people explore career options and develop strengths to help them thrive in the world. That’s our mission.
